"The most delicious idea about performing :  to take the leap, to not know, to dream one another into existence, to melt into collective, creative meditation... ."

Growing up in the theater and on the roads in between, my art and performance education took many diverse turns, leading me to now be drawing from over two decades of performance experience and creative inquiry in theater, acting, dance, film, singing, writing, directing and more, in Europe, West Asia and many other places. As a performer, I devote my gifts to bringing to life what sprouts from a collective creative process. I stopped supporting outdated practices of patriarchal performance culture.

To develop a character, whether through dance, voice, storytelling, drawing, writing or all the other endless possibilities in this world, is like going on a shamanic journey. A deliberate act of sacred dissociation, merging a part or parts of oneself with the world, sometimes so material, sometimes so immaterial, ancestral, always collective, always multiple, always through paradox and parallel truths. To be embodying a character or creative idea means to listen, radically, with deepest compassion to what needs to be said. It means to lend my body into becoming a witness for that very creative truth, that emerges within one moment. That truth belongs to everybody present - my collaborators, whether so called stage partners or the audience themselves.

At this point, as a performer, I am devoted to immersive and experiential spaces, where boundaries between performers and audience can dissolve maybe even fully. Finally, I believe, that nobody needs to define for us, who is creating and who is "passively" listening, because anyway, everything happens at once, in all of us, always. May we keep creating spaces where this becomes possible and where we find the ways to motivate within each other the courage to leap into that radical listening space of a performer, the shamans we all can be.

Before there was therapy, there was theater and before there was theater there was ritual. All of it still exists and draws from each others indigenous and ancestral wisdom. And while theater cannot replace therapy or shamanism, it certainly holds the potential to match both in its depth. When radical attunement to one another, when collective co-regulation and containment, when shared practices of dignity meet in depth in that one magic moment of now within a performance, the divine becomes present.
